    I had been planning for several months to purchase a home outside of Austin where I had been renting for the last 13 years. My wonderful landlord decided to move back into his home at the end of our lease and my plan of trying to extend it by 6 months went by the wayside. This was in mid-November 2021.My local Austin Exp realtor reached out to Doug to help me locate a home within the Bell -McLennan - Coryell county region. I had roughly 6 weeks to locate and purchase/close on a home. Mind you this news came to me the week before Thanksgiving. I gave myself 2 weekends to find something essentially turnkey and within my pre-approved amount. Doug was nothing short of amazing. He made himself readily available for jaunts throughout the Belton/Temple/Waco region. He came prepared and very well organized -unlike myself who was easily distracted by small oohs and ahhs that could be challenging if one wants a quick purchase. As someone who has lived in the area for quite a while he was able to provide me with excellent information about the nuances of various locations. He was not at all pushy however he was frank, upfront and also quite supportive. Once I found a home I was happy with he did a tremendous amount of behind the scenes legwork and because of his initiative I do believe he enabled me to be able to place a bid on the home I eventually purchased quickly before it went off market (3 bidders within a 24 hour period) . From this point until the close he was right there - dotting "T's" and crossing "I's" and ensuring that all parties and all aspects of the process were as airtight as feasible. In short - he treated me like I was the only person he was representing and it felt amazing. In a time of anxious, time pressured stress and angst, Doug was my port in the storm. I would recommend him without any reservations whatsoever to anyone seeking to purchase a home in this part of Central Texas. This was my 3rd home purchase in the last 30 years and it was BY FAR the least stressful of the 3.
